Our Story
At Cavendish Hardware, we have been helping our customers to install and repair window systems for over 25 years - 2025 is our 30th anniversary!
In fact, our original product catalogue was mostly hand-drawn by our now director Catherine, it featured our mascot 'splodge' manning the shelves. To this day we still sell many of the same parts that we did all those years ago including sash balances, folding openers, handles, and sash hardware.
Our knowledge comes from on-site, practical experience of repairing window systems, (in the days before Cavendish was founded), and from decades of providing technical advice to others doing the same thing.

What we do
Whatever your sash balance requirements we have built up our product knowledge over decades. We are a major supplier of all balance brands and can advise on fitting, adjustment, operation on whatever window type you need to repair.
Teleflex has stood the test of time. We carry a full stock of parts for new installations and remedial works.

We carry a full range of several brands of folding opener to cater for all frame types.

When it comes to old and obsolete window systems, it has been said that if you can't find it at Cavendish, you won't find it. Archital Luxfer Warwick, Alcan along with virtually all contemporary window systems are serviceable with our parts. Luckily if we don't have it, we usually can make it.
Bespoke items have always been part of the Cavendish service. In order to save windows from being replaced for the want of a hinge, catch, latch, keep, handle, stay etc. Many replica items have been made over the years, which have restored windows back into a serviceable condition, for a fraction of the cost.
